Arts Members to Receive Discount in Croton Falls
Arts on the Lake members who wish to attend an evening performance (Thurs – Sat) of Conor McPherson’s The Seafarer at The Schoolhouse Theater in Croton Falls can receive a 30% discount by using code AOTL14 online or when calling the box office at 914-277-8477.

Ed Durkee Appointed Interim Executive Director of Arts on the Lake
Board President Robert Bradley announced the appointment of Ed Durkee as Interim Executive Director of Arts on the Lake at the arts organization’s annual Members Gathering Saturday, February 1. Durkee will be taking over from James Shearwood who was recently appointed Executive Director of The Schoolhouse Theater in Croton Falls.

Press Release: Artist Jeff Johnson to Lead Chair-Making Workshop at Arts on the Lake
Hudson Valley artist Jeff Johnson will lead the “Make an Amazing Chair Workshop” at Arts on the Lake, 640 Route 52, Lake Carmel, on Sunday, January 26, from 1 pm to 5 pm. Workshop participants will design and build a functional chair out of recycled chair parts. Read full press release.
Spring Collaborative Art Exhibit Informational Meeting Rescheduled
A second informational meeting for the Visual Arts Committee's Spring Collaborative Exhibit will now be held at the Center on Wed, Feb 12, from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm. It will be chance to talk about the process and identify potential collaborators. Contact Roy Volpe at (845) 878-4127 before the meeting, if you have questions or concerns.

Arts on the Lake wins Socially Conscious Trailblazer Award
The Putnam Chambers of Commerce announced they will award Arts on the Lake a 2013 Socially Conscious Trailblazer Award at the Trailblazer Gala on January 31. Although 35 Putnam awards were announced this year, AotL is the only one from Kent Lakes. If you are planning to attend the Awards Ceremony on Jan 31, email office@artsonthelake.org to see if tables of 10 can be assembled for a slight discount.

Box for Toys and Food Gifts at the Center
Donations to the Putnam Community Action Program are being accepted at the Center in a box made by the children of Exploring Great Art and Artists. Toys (toy wish list) are accepted before December 16 (so there is time to distribute) and food (food wish list) is accepted at all times. If you're visiting an Exhibit or a Class, the box is just inside the door.
