BOOK LAUNCH for Elisabeth Frischauf's THE LOST NOTEBOOK
Sunday, November 15, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
2-5pm
Join us for the Book Launch of Elisabeth Frischauf's second volume of family Holocaust memoir.
In deeply resonant poetry and prose, she relates her relatives' traumas in the face of horrific choices: to submit to the dehumanizing conditions of the death camps, to stand on one's dignity and make the ultimate sacrifice, or to attempt escape from Nazi-occupied Austria.
With her unflinching eye for detail and her unforgettable ability for bringing the past alive, Elisabeth reveals how family members confronted all three of these fates. Among their descendants in America, she and her children and grandchildren keep their memories alive in an enduring testament to the human spirit.
THE LOST NOTEBOOK is the story of this remarkable family legacy. Elisabeth will read from the book, take questions from the audience, and be interviewed by Tom Kersting of Arts on the Lake's Lake Writers group.
Copies of Elisabeth's books will be available for purchase.
