Our End of Summer Fundraiser- Jim Dale's new show, An Actor's Nightmare

Special Event - End of Summer Fundraiser with Jim Dale. 

Jim Dale has graciously agreed to present his brand new one man show, An Actor's Nightmare, for our End of Summer Fundraiser.  We are so lucky to have him perform at the Center. Please join us as we  raise funds for a new web site, our upcoming upstairs renovation, a desperately needed digital advertising sign, and most importantly new programs and events.  

Tony Award winner Jim Dale is recognized as one of America s great raconteurs. He has explored every branch of show business, from ballet to circus clown, from drag queen to Disney villain, from London West End comedies to Broadway musicals.

He began his career as a young comedian in British Music Halls. He has starred in sixteen plays and musicals on and off Broadway. He narrated all seven Harry Potter audiobooks, creating over two hundred and twenty different character voices. His work won him two Grammy Awards, seven Grammy Nominations and four, Narrator of the Year awards.

His latest one man show, An Actor's Nightmare, takes you through his earlier years as a leading actor with Britain s National Theatre led by Sir Laurence Olivier who dubbed Jim, God’s gift to Shakespeare’s comedies. His complete show business history can be found at www.Jim-Dale.com
 

Benefit begins at 4 PM with Wine and Light Fare, with Jim performing at 5 PM until approximately 6. Questions and a social hour will follow. There will be limited seating for the indoor event. Please purchase tickets early.  

This is a benefit for the Center. We are looking to raise enough funds this year in order to do a number of things that will make an impact on what the Center can offer, how we can advertise our presence, and a long needed upgrade to our web site. Please contribute as you can by attending, donating and/or becoming or renewing your membership.  The evening is sure to be a wonderful event, please join with your fellow members, attendees and supporters as we are treated to a rare night of seeing a new Jim Dale show in person. ( We secretly will also be celebrating his birthday!)
