In 1970 Laurence Olivier invited Jim to join the British National Theatre as a leading man in seven productions - calling him "God's gift to Shakespeare's comedies".

He has thirty films to his credit including Disney's, "Pete's Dragon" and eleven of the iconic British "Carry On" comedy series.

His on/off Broadway successes include, "Scapino", "Taming of the Shrew", "Barnum", "Me and My Girl", "Candide", "Privates on Parade", "Comedians", "Joe Egg", "Road to Mecca", "The Music Man", " Travels with my Aunt", " The Three-Penny Opera", and his latest one-man show: "Just Jim Dale".

In the category of 'Best Actor' he is the winner of a Tony Award, five Tony Nominations, five NY Drama Desk Awards, and five NY Theater Critic's Awards. As a lyricist he was nominated from an Academy Award for writing the title song for the film, "Georgy Girl".

Jim also narrated all seven books in the Harry Potter series, creating over two hundred different speaking character voices, winning a record ten Audie Awards - the Oscars of the narrating world, four "Narrator of the Year" Awards, two Grammy Awards, seven Grammy nominations, and two Guinness World Records.

Recently, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II honored Jim with the MBE, Member of the Order of the British Empire.
