Celebrating Life of Conservation Legend: Dr. Alan Rabinowitz

Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 7:00 pm

Join us at the arts center to celebrate the legacy of the late Dr. Alan Rabinowitz. His wife, Salisa Rabinowitz, will be explaining the importance of big cats and presenting his numerous accomplishments in his journey to conserve various wild animals, including the 40 wild cat species Alan fought to protect.

Some of Alan's accomplishments include discovering four new species of mammals, creating 5 new protected areas in Myanmar, establishing the world's first jaguar sanctuary, and co-founding and acting as CEO, president, and chief scientist at Panthera Corporation, a nonprofit conservation organization devoted to protecting the world's 40 wild cat species.

The event will be held indoors at Art on the Lake. We ask that everyone who wishes to attend by vaccinated. Masks will be required.
