Meet playwright Christine Toy Johnson at Kent Public Library via Zoom

     Known first as a barrier breaking actress (“Julie Jordan” in Carousel, "Maria" in West Side Story), now as a playwright with extensive credits (The New Deal, Paper Son) and a documentary film producer with Bruce Johnson (Transcending - The Wat Misaka Story). She is also National Chair, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee and an Officer for the Dramatists Guild.

     Christine Toy Johnson is the author of Expression of Regret, which will be streamed along with Miracle of the Danube from Arts on the Lake, June 3-6, as the second event in the Putnam Theatre Alliance's Freedom Project.
