Coming soon to Arts on the Lake

Summer Concert Series #3

Ten Ton Truckers take the stage July 16 at 7 PM for Arts on the Lake’s third July Summer Concert Series. Beacon based recording artist, producer and sound engineer Harley Fine leads this rocking band with Vinny Moschello and Kenny Conklin.

“Our formula-if you can call it that-is running songs through the blender and out comes a mix of obscure rock and roll and rockabilly/surf country rock. Some of the song choices are from bands we love but you may not have heard of like, Blackfoot Gypsys, C.C. Adcock and Bob Schneider but also Bo Diddly, Elvis Presley, Jefferson Airplane, Merle Travis , Johnny Cash and the Who.”

Fine related that the band, “… started out as a fun side project band for me and it’s always been a revolving door for friends who are available to play some shows and have a good time doing it.” Some of these friends over the years included musicians who played with The Turtles, Peter Frampton, Johnny Winter, and Jefferson Airplane. The show should be a great fun night of excellent music.

This project is made possible, in part, through the Putnam Arts Council’s Arts Link Grant Program with public funds provided through the NY State Council on the Arts with support from Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the NY State Legislature and with public funds from Putnam County.

Concerts start at 7 PM. You are welcome to bring your own chairs, food and drink to the concerts. Parking is limited so we suggest arriving at least 20 minutes before the concert.

IMPORTANT NOTES CONCERNING ATTENDANCE

W are asking all folks who remain unvaccinated to wear a mask to the concerts for the safety of others-those also unvaccinated and children under 12.  Thank you.
