Ukulele Invitational Extravaganza

In the tradition of the Connecticut Ukulele Invitational, the Center is presenting the First Arts on the Lake Ukulele Extravaganza April 24, from 7 PM to 10 PM.
Join the fun and hear a range of ukulele talent from New York, Connecticut and beyond, in a lively cabaret atmosphere. Genres include blues, swing, comedy, rock ‘n' roll, folk and vintage tunes, play-alongs and an open mic. Bring your uke because everyone gets to play.
Special guests Jim and Liz Beloff are the featured performers, and there will also be Flea Market Music ukulele books, CDs and more for sale. www.fleamarketmusic.com. Come early and browse, the doors open at 6:30pm.
Other performers include Uncle Zac and the Zactones, the Edukated Fleas, Peter C. North, Donna and Rick Nestler, Ukulele Bruce, the Orange County Strummers, Ukes on the Lake, and more. "Play-alongs" will be part of the evening.
Refreshments, desserts and snacks will be available.

Wendy Matthews will be offering her Uke From Scratch - Beginners 1 class in the week following this event for individuals interested in learning how to play this wonderful instrument.
