Fireworks Day Starts Summer Concerts

Information on Fireworks Day

Our Summer Concert Series starts with a bang as part of the Town of Kent Fireworks Day. At 7:30 PM Kati Mac and Southeast Station help celebrate the holiday weekend performing Americana music from folk songs to blues, roots, rock and Woodstock. The concert ends with the fireworks display over Lake Carmel starting shortly after 9:15 p.m.

Fireworks Day starts at the Kent Library with Super Heroes Training Camp for children at 11 AM.

Music at the Art Center starts at 5 PM with Whiskey Neat (blues, folk and punk), which hails from Carmel, followed by Open Book and then Alectro.

The musicians this evening include Grammy and Emmy award nominees, with some having played with John Lennon, John Denver, Al Green, Bette Midler, Harry Chapin, Tanya Tucker, Rick Springer, Natalie Cole.

The Summer Concerts are pay-what-you-wish events and are held on the North Lawn of Arts on the Lake. You are welcome to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic food.

Our many sponsors have donated generously allowing us to continue these pay as you wish concerts. We especially thank: William Sayegh Law, Friends of Kent Library, Attorney Joan Iacono, Attorney Joshua Martin, Radovich and Dean, Volz Auto/Meadowlands of Carmel, and Carmel Cinema 8.

Arrive early with a lawn chair or blanket. Deliland and Fundaes will be on-site offering picnic food and frozen yogurt.

Viewing and Parking
The fireworks are launched directly across the lake from the Center and the public is welcome to view from the concert lawn and parking lot which will have sections roped off from cars. Parking at Arts on the Lake is limited, but you may park along the north side of Route 52 and along the lake in appropriate areas. The causeway will be closed starting at approximately 8 PM.
